Nepal vs Sri Lanka 23rd Match ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Match 23 of the 2024 T20 World Cup brings Sri Lanka and Nepal face-to-face at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill on Tuesday evening.

Both teams are eager for a win, with Sri Lanka having lost their first two games and Nepal also suffering a defeat in their only match so far. The game kicks off on June 12th at 7:30 PM local time.

Sri Lanka has struggled with their batting in the tournament, and their bowlers haven’t been able to turn things around either. Despite this, they have a strong bowling lineup, and if their batters step up, they stand a good chance of securing a victory.

Nepal, although defeated by the Netherlands in Dallas, showed resilience with the ball in the second innings. However, they’ll face a formidable Sri Lankan bowling attack in this match, and scoring runs against such a high-quality unit will be a significant challenge for them.

This is a good batting pitch as seen in the last T20I here when West Indies chased down a target of 166 with only two wickets down and with 12 balls remaining. There could be some spin but overall there will be good carry for the pace bowlers throughout.

Sri Lanka Predicted Playing 11
Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Kamindu Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Charith Asalanka, Wanindu Hasaranga (c), Angelo Mathews, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Thushara
Nepal Predicted Playing 11
Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh (wk), Anil Sah, Rohit Paudel (c), Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami, Gulsan Jha, Karan KC, Sagar Dhakal, Abinash Bohara
